About

Christina Sewell is PETA’s Fashion Campaign Coordinator and hails from Seoul, South Korea. Within PETA’s Campaigns Division, she oversees efforts to increase awareness of animal exploitation in the clothing industry and drive demand for innovative, vegan apparel through collaborations with style influencers, press initiatives, custom lifestyle content produced for PETA’s website, and various partnerships with ethical fashion brands including Freedom of Animals, M4D3 Shoes (a Clinton Global Initiative), and Vaute Couture, the first all-vegan brand to walk the New York Fashion Week runway. Among these efforts, Christina pulls together initiatives like PETA’s Vegan Fashion Awards, Vegan Fashion Pop-up Retails (read: shopping parties for awesome people), and Fashion + Sustainability Panel Events, and has presented on innovations in vegan fashion to new activists in workshops across the country. When not brainstorming ways to garner attention for animal issues, you can find her serving in her Operations Officer role in the US Army Reserve, roaming the streets of Los Angeles en route to a great live show, practicing (falling out of) her headstand in yoga class, or enjoying another outdoor adventure in the gorgeous state of California.
