Inspired by the Golden Age of Hollywood, the Octavio Carlin collection is accessibly glamorous for women who want to be noticed on their way to the Opera, at a cocktail party, a wedding or walking into the Oscars. Octavio wants women to be seen for their beauty and uniqueness that is accentuated by the Octavio Carlin she is wearing.
As a child actor in Mexico City, Octavio loved many things about the theater. The actors, the lights, the staging, but most of all the power the costumes held in bringing a character to life. After a trip to the mall in the States, where for the first time he saw pictures of icons like Marilyn Monroe and Mae West, Octavio began his lifelong quest to research actresses from the silent film era onward. He was captured by their inherent glamour and how beautiful clothes worked on their bodies.
Being an original has helped Octavio stay at the forefront of the Los Angeles fashion scene for the last decade. He along with his business partner have grown organically from their first store in Los Feliz, to creating classically modern wedding dresses and red carpet looks, to the Exclusive RTW that gives todays woman wearable glamour from the moment she is out the door for the day to the evening where she is still looking fabulous.
Octavio Carlin lives in Hollywood surrounded by the Hollywood history he holds so dear. He continues to write plays and always is looking for ways to aid in film preservation.
